RFID transponder with its own battery, battery or electrical system power are called active transponder. They differ, inter alia, to in the frequency domain. There transponder whose batteries are replaceable, and those whose batteries are located in a closed unit (disposable transponder). The counterpart to active transponders are “Passive transponders”.
